New Years Eve Party Attire

Hi everyone! We hope your Christmas was a great one! Although it's over, the holiday parties are not! New Year's Eve is just around the corner, and so are the New Year's festivities. We know it can be difficult to find that perfect outfit. Here are some ideas that can help out! Whether you're attending a big bash, a get together with friends, or a gathering with the family, these outfits will help you do it in style! Enjoy and have a Happy New Year!!

A new twist on the classic LBD:
This closet staple can be used by dressing it up with silver or gold jewelry! This is the no-fail option that will make any girl look smokin' at the party. This helps you reuse your fave LBD and saves money while still being the best-dressed girl around!

Sparkles and Sequins:
A girl can never go wrong with sequins and sparkles. But, don't over-do it! Pair a sparkly tank with a neutral blazer, pants and printed heels (like above). You could also pair a sequined skirt or shorts with opaque tights, a neutral top, and heels. Use your imagination and come up with your own sparkly outfit, but remember, less is more!

Tights, tights, tights!
One way to jazz up a plain skirt, dress, or shorts is some colored or patterned tights. These add instant glam and dressiness to any outfit. A girl can never go wrong with this accessory!

The Chic Tuxedo:
What's the best way to show up to an event? In a tuxedo, of course! To a more formal event, wear a black jumpsuit with a white blazer and back heels(like above). For a more casual look, wear dark skinny jeans, a white button-up, and black blazer with black pumps. Accessorize with hoops or statement earrings (like above) and bangles. It's the perfect thing for both a formal and casual event!!

A Pretty Pale Evening Gown:
Invited to a black-tie event? Have no fear! This new evening gown trend is a guaranteed success. A pale-colored evening gown, especially with sparkles, will leave your fellow guest awed. Pair with understated jewelry and shoes, and natural makeup and hair. You'll be the hottest girl there!

The Casual Sweater and Jeans Duo:
This is the no-fail outfit for any casual event. Pair it with bold jewelry, earth-toned heels, and a casual cross-body bag. It's comfortable, but still looks cute and polished.

We hope these tips helped! Share your own tips and outfit ideas!

Holiday Gift Ideas for the Fashionista!

Hey guys! I know the holidays are very near, and if you're anything like us, you may still be trying to find that perfect gift...Well we're here to help you with some gift ideas every fashionista will love! Hope this helps!
For your friends:
-Decoupage Frames
These are a creative way to show your friends you really care. Get some wooden craft frames, patterned scrapbook paper, and decopadge(we recommend Modge Podge brand) from any craft store. Tear pieces of paper and glue them to the frame until the frame is covered. Then apply three coats of decopadge and let dry. Put a picture of you and your friend in the frame, and then sign the back with a sharpie. It's the perfect, creative gift that any friend will love.

-Cute Giftcard Idea
A giftcard is always a good gift idea. But, a cute way of presenting it is important, as well. This year, I am giving one of my friends a starbucks giftcard. But, to make it more creative, I bought a coffee cup at the dollar store, filled it with red confetti, tied a red ribbon with a gift tag around the handle, and placed the gift card inside. This is a cute and creative way to give your friend a giftcard.

-A fashion website or magazine subscription
This is the perfect gift for any fashionista! Give her a subscription to her favorite magazine, like Glamour, or a fashion website, like shoedazzle.com. We promise, this gift never fails!

For your boyfriend/guy friend:
-Concert tickets
Is his favorite band touring in your city soon? Snag a couple tickets for you and him to go, and he will never stop thanking you. If you're willing to pay the money, this gift is worth it! We promise!

-A bag of his favorite things
This is the creative and cute way to tell him Merry Christmas! Include a CD of his favorite band, his favorite candy, his favorite baked good (made by you!), a frame with a picture of you, some socks, a giftcard to his fave store, and anything else you can think of! This will show how much you know about him and how creative you can be!

-Clothes...duh!
As long as you know his sizes and style, you can't go wrong with getting him clothes! Whether it's a shirt, socks, pants, or a jacket, he'll love the addition to his wardrobe, and he'll always think of you whenever he wears it. Cute!!

If you have any other creative ideas or suggestions, please share! Hope you have a happy holiday!!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Review

Hey guys! So I was in Kroger the other day, when I saw the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strips. I had seen a lot of advertising for these and I decided to try them. They are around $8 which is a bit pricey for a one-use product, but I decided to try them anyway. They are pretty easy to apply, and it looks like you just went and got a manicure! The package promises 10 days without chipping, but I found different results. My nails started chipping around day 5. Although this product works, it's durability does not fit the package or the price. If you're willing to take the risk, try this product and let us know the results!

The Bow Bun!

One of our favorite new trends is the Bow bun. It's the perfect updo for school, work, the gym, or a more formal event. It's easy to do and, with alittle hairspray, can last a long time. It's so unique and fun, and we reccomend that everyone try it, no matter what hair type! We've included some pictures and a how-to to help you get started. Enjoy!

(1) Using a ponytail holder that is the same color as your hair, pull your hair into a bun by not pulling the hair all the way through on the last looping of the ponytail holder. It is important that you pull the hair all in the same direction.
(2) Leave the very ends of your hair in the front, you will need them in a minute.
(3) Fan hair out, spritz with a little holding spray to make it stand up if needed.  Be liberal with the hairspray for the best hold and look.
(4)  Separate the fanned hair in the middle to make the two “loops” of the bun.
(5) Pull the ends that were left in the front backwards over the middle of the loops and pin in the back using a bobby pin.
(6) Add a little hairspray and smooth fly-aways with hair gel. You're Done!!

Have a cute hairstyle?? Please share!

Outfit of the Day: Tuesday

I'm wearing a black shirt from Express, over sized cashmere scarf from Macy's, Green slacks from Express, Vintage belt, and riding boots from Target. Today was super cold (there was a chance of snow!) so this outfit was both cozy and chic and perfect for the weather! The over sized scarf can also be a shawl, and I love its versatility. I also love the multiple colors. They're perfect for cheering up on a cloudy day!

I'm wearing a lace tanktop from American Eagle, a skirt from a store in Switzerland, a military jacket from Nordstrom, patterned tights, and combat boots from American Eagle. I like this outfit because its girly and super cute. I also love the pop of colr in the tank top. It pulls the outfit together.

Hey guys. We have decided to have an "outfit of the day" week this week. Every day we will post what we wore that day and you can all say what you think of them! Feel free to post your own cute outfit for that day, as well! Hope you enjoy this!
I
I'm wearing an Express black shirt, Gap knitted sweater, Pashmina scarf, silk shorts from Target, patterned tights, gold bangles from Claire's, and Nine West black and gold flats. I'm going all-natural with my hair and makeup. I love this outfit because its super comfy, perfect for the chilly weather, and still looks dressed up.

I'm wearing a cream Target sweater, American Eagle Jeans, vintage boots and purse, and a Pier One necklace. I like this outfit because it's comfy and casual enough for school, but still looks put together.
