Beauty Disaster Solutions! (cont.)

Today, we will continue our beauty disaster solutions section with...

Blotchy Self-tanner
We all want to be tan during the summer, but don't always have the time to make it to the beach or pool. So we turn to self-tanner to achieve that desired summer glow. Although this method is reliable and trusted, it can sometimes go badly wrong, leaving a blotchy, unnatural tan. Here are a few solutions  to both prevent it from happening and fix it when it does.

Exfoliation:
One way to prevent this problem is exfoliation. This gets rid of all the dead skin on the surface that self tanner tends to gather in, causing blotchiness. But, be careful what exfoliator you choose. Exfoliators that use fruit pits, like apricot scrub, can cause micro-tears in your skin and are, overall, harmful. The best way to go is a man made exfoliating agent, like beads. You can also use natural agents like sea salt, that are less harmful to your skin. Our favorite is...

Tan Detox:
So what if you didn't exfoliate and you're already stuck with an embarrassing tan? Have no fear! A simple but kinda pricey fix is within your reach! A product calle St.Tropez can help the blotchiness fade tremendously. It's $35 at drugstore.com

Hope these tips have helped any of you with common yet annoying beauty disaster!

What I Get at...Starbucks!

Today, I had a wonderful lunch at Starbucks. I thought for this post, I would talk about what I get when  I go to Starbucks, whether for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. This will be the start of new blog series where we show what we get at different restaurants and give you the opportunity to email us YOUR favorite options at those places. Feel free to share with us at any time!!

Breakfast

Blueberry Scone
Filling, light, and with a light sprinkling of sugar on top, this scone is the perfect morning treat!

Blueberry Muffin
This is my FAVE breakfast item! The top has bread crumbs and fresh blueberries that are to die for!

Greek Yogurt & Honey Parfait
I love greek yogurt, especially with honey and granola. This is perfect if you aren't that hungry but still need a little something in the a.m. hours.

Lunch

Chipotle Chicken Wrap Bistro Box
In this box, there is white chicken strips, lime-cilantro slaw, pepper jack cheese, avocado salsa, and whole wheat wraps. You use these ingredients to make little wraps that are sooo delicious! The last thing in the box is a small piece of dark chocolate. It satisfies that sweet craving without going overboard. This box is the PERFECT light lunch when paired with a coffee.

Turkey & Swiss
This is just your basic turkey and cheese. But it's made with fresh and delicious ingredients! However, you might want some chips or a scone to go with it, because its not really filling.

Snacks

Marble Loaf
This is my favorite snack EVER. It's basically a piece of pound cake thats a mix of chocolate and vanilla. It's delicious and goes perfectly with a sweet drink!

Cake Pops
This is great if you want a light, sweet snack! They are so cute, portable, and come in many different flavors!

Drinks

Skinny Caramel Machiatto

Skinny Vanilla Latte

White Chocolate Mocha
My guilty pleasure...

Beauty Disaster Solutions! (cont.)

Hi girls! Earlier, we posted some solutions on how to take care of that nasty, last minute blemish. Today, we will be talking about how to solve another common beauty disaster! It's summer and that means it's hot!! Along with that temperature change comes our next beauty disaster....

Greasy Hair
There are many easy fixes for this common problem.

Change Your Part:
Most of our hair's greasiness is focused on our part. To hide this, you can simply deepen your part. This is a quick and easy fix that can be done anywhere at any time!

Dry Shampoo:
For a more lasting fix that doesn't change your hair style, dry shampoo is always a reliable option. It's perfect for that day that you wake up late and need to be somewhere. This makes your hair look clean and fresh like you just took a shower, but in half the time! Our favorite is...

Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo
$6
Drugstores

If you don't want to spend money, there are many recipes for dry shampoos you can make at home with materials you already have. Just follow this link for directions!

Baby Powder:
This is a fix that is easy and is usually already available without going to the store. Just sprinkle a tiny bit a your roots and blend in with your fingers. They even have small containers that you can carry in your purse for on the go! Just make sure not to add TOO much (or you'll have white hair)!

We hope these tips will help you if you ever experience this very common beauty disaster! Stay tuned for more and email some that you might want us to do!!
