Beauty Disaster Solutions! (cont.)

Today, we will continue our beauty disaster solutions section with...

Blotchy Self-tanner
We all want to be tan during the summer, but don't always have the time to make it to the beach or pool. So we turn to self-tanner to achieve that desired summer glow. Although this method is reliable and trusted, it can sometimes go badly wrong, leaving a blotchy, unnatural tan. Here are a few solutions  to both prevent it from happening and fix it when it does.

Exfoliation:
One way to prevent this problem is exfoliation. This gets rid of all the dead skin on the surface that self tanner tends to gather in, causing blotchiness. But, be careful what exfoliator you choose. Exfoliators that use fruit pits, like apricot scrub, can cause micro-tears in your skin and are, overall, harmful. The best way to go is a man made exfoliating agent, like beads. You can also use natural agents like sea salt, that are less harmful to your skin. Our favorite is...

Tan Detox:
So what if you didn't exfoliate and you're already stuck with an embarrassing tan? Have no fear! A simple but kinda pricey fix is within your reach! A product calle St.Tropez can help the blotchiness fade tremendously. It's $35 at drugstore.com

Hope these tips have helped any of you with common yet annoying beauty disaster!
