Picture Perfect

During our photo shoot, we ran across some deer :) I love this picture because it shows off Elena's beautiful natural curls with the deer in the background. I couldn't resist posting!

Nailed it: Neons and Neutrals

Once again, the transition from summer to fall may be tricky for some. When incorporating the few neon pieces you love into your outfits, pair them with neutrals! This is one of my favorite looks and I wanted to share with you. My little sister begged me to do her nails so this is what I came up with!

First select your colors. I chose a bright pink and a neutral pink. The bright pink was "Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em" by OPI and the neutral was "Lion Around" by Essie.

Next paint a base coat (if desired) and then paint 2 coats of your neutral color.

Then place tape over the places you want to keep neutral, leaving room where you want the bright to go. I picked a pretty simple diagonal line just to make the color pop more rather than an intricate design.

Paint the bright polish over the exposed nail and let sit for a few seconds.

Finally, peel of the tape revealing your finished look! Finish with a top coat and let dry.

Make sure to press down the tape all the way so polish doesn't slip under creating uneven lines. This may have happened a little here, but now you can learn from my mistakes! I hope you enjoyed this look and be sure to comment with questions or suggestions!

Arm Candy

New arm candy! From left: Vintage, Nordstrom, unknown, Marc by Marc Jacobs. I loveee to layer bracelets. Stephanie makes fun of me all the time from when we were in London and I said that layering bracelets was my favorite activity in the world...but really, it is. Let me know what you think :)

Transitions

Meet my gorgeous best friend Elena! As we are transitioning from summer to fall clothes, this outfit is  the archetype of this shift. The weather is still pretty warm, but it is kind of late in the season to be flaunting all the neons from your summer wardrobe. Elena rocks the whole bohemian look, with a patterned button-down top and a suede skirt. She's extremely chic and I hope to be posting more of her looks in the near future!

What I Get at...Panera!

Hi Girls!
Panera is the perfect the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is also a great place to meet friends, study, or just chill! Although it can be a little pricey, it's a delicious and healthy treat! They also have a lot of FREE rewards programs where you can get free food the more you eat there! All of their food is so fresh! Here are a few things I get when I go...

Breakfast

Bagels
They have such a wide variety, so there is something for every bagel lover! For breakfast, I usually tend to lean towards a sweeter bagel. Their blueberry, cinnamon crunch, or plain bagels are delicious with a variety of different cream cheese flavors!

Scones
These are delicious & light. They're also perfect with a good cup of tea. My favorites are the orange and cinnamon chip.

Mochas
Whether iced or hot, this drink is one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted! I even think it's better than starbucks! (shhhhh!)

Lunch & Dinner

Thai Chopped Chicken Salad
This salad is wonderful! It's light, tangy, and refreshing! It even has edamame and wonton strips. Yummm!

Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich
This is basically a sandwich with every vegetable imaginable (including cucumbers, tomatoes, onions), hummus spread, and feta cheese. It's perfect if you're looking for a lighter lunch. It's great with a soup for a more filling meal, too!

Soups
These are great with a sandwich or salad or alone on a cold day. My favorites are broccoli & cheddar and creamy tomato. Order bread as your side item for dipping!

Mac & Cheese
One Word: DELICIOUS. And creamy. And filling. And just ah-mazing.

Snacks

Chocolate Chipper
Soft, fresh-baked cookie full of chocolate chips.

Muffies
A muffin's better half...the top! They come in chocolate chip and pumpkin.

Asiago Cheese Bagel
The best savory bagel you'll ever eat! Goes great with plain cream cheese!

Fudge Brownie
Enough said...

I hope you enjoyed this post! Stay tuned for more! Also, we have some new videos on our vlog channel,  and there's a link to it on the menu bar! Stay Beautiful!

Nailed it: Update your old mani!

Hey guys so I hope you've seen my last post about nails! I just wanted to let you know that I do my nails about once a week, so expect posts about every weekend. I also wanted to describe how I update my mani! After the wear of several days, your polish might start to chip or get old. I hate this because I never have enough time to redo my nails in the middle of the week! My fix: add a little something! If I'm wearing a plain color on my nails, about halfway through the week I like to add some glitter to mask the chips and flaws! Or sometimes I add a little extra detail. I love to do this because it keeps your look updated and fresh, without all the time you would need to start over! My last post was black and white chevron nails, and I just added some gold detailing! Pardon the sloppiness, I was in a rush:/

I love to add details to keep things from getting boring! Let me know your ideas for updating your mani!
