What's in Your Beach Bag?

Hey Girls! It's been such a busy month! With all of our exams, vacation plans, and summer preparations it's been hard to post. But this post is all about the essentials any fashionista needs in her beach bag to stay looking, and feeling fabulous during a typical day at the beach! Whether it's the coast of Florida or the beaches of Italy, these are some products we love to throw in your beach bag!

The Bag
These are some of our favorite beach bags, but anything works as long as it's big and versatile!

Beauty Essentials
While you're at the beach, makeup will likely wear away from the hot sun and the salty spray. Try a tinted moisturizer with SPF to keep in your bag for re-application. For that gorgeous beachy glow, keep some bronzer with you. Also stay natural with just a little mascara -- waterproof of course. Another good product to keep handy is a nice lip balm with SPF in it. Your lips need protection too! And who could forget sunscreen? Be sure and apply several times throughout the day in order to maintain beautiful skin for later in your life!

Haircare
Some basic items are necessary to maintain your luscious locks in the sand. It gets hot on the beach, so it only makes sense to bring some hair ties to keep your neck from getting too sweaty. Also a brush and some beachy waves spray for when you get out of the ocean and need to tame your mane!

Staying Fresh
It gets unbearably hot sometimes at the beach, and with heat comes sweat. Have some body mist and deodorant handy in case you want to go out after!

Shades
Most people don't know that the sun's harmful rays are damaging to your eyes as well as your skin! Keep a cute pair of sunnies handy to keep your eyes protected!

Snacks
While the ice cream and sodas may tempt you, in order to stay healthy and energized a good bottle of water and a granola bar may be your best bet. Keep some food with you that's healthy and yummy such as almonds, fruit, or granola! These foods will give you the boost that you need to go play an active game of volleyball, or surf the waves!

Tunes/A Good Read
It may get boring just laying out and soaking up the sun, so keep your mind busy with a good book! Your iPod is also a nice thing to keep you entertained.

The Perfect Summer Hair & Makeup Combos

Summer is finally here! And you know what that means...Many busy activities are in the near future! During all of the beach days, late nights out, work meetings, and busy shopping trips, a fashionista still has to look her best! These perfect hair & makeup combos are ideal for those busy summer activities. Hope these help you look your best while you soak up the sun!

Beach Day
Makeup:
This look is all about the less, the better! Start off with a tinted moisturizer, which covers up while protecting your skin with SPF. Try Aveeno Tinted Moisturizer.  Then add some cream blush, which lasts longer than the usual powder blush. Finish off with some water proof mascara. It will make your eyes bigger, while lasting through the sweat and swimming. This regimen will make you look natural, yet polished.
Hair:
Beach hair is all about free and natural. A wavy look helps achieve this with minimal effort. First wet your hair in the shower or sink. After you fix your part, spritz a wave-creating spray evenly throughout hair. Our favorite is Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray! The sun at the beach will help dry your hair, while the surf spray will help your hair maintain its effortless waves.

Night Out
Makeup:
This look is all about making a statement! Start with a makeup primer. Our favorite is Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. This product will help your make up last through all the dancing and socializing. Next add a heavy coverage foundation. Our favorite is Maybelline 24-hour Super Stay Makeup. Set this foundation with a compressed powder, like Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. Now its time to add some color! Start off with some blush! Our pick is Nars Blush in Orgasm. Then add some shimmery eyeshadow, like Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow. Finish off with a winged eye liner and volume mascara. This look will defiantly be show-stopping.
Hair:
With such dramatic makeup, its good to not overdo it with your hair. After your shower, blow-dry your hair with a straightening tool add-on. Then add an anti-frizz cream. Straighten your hair in layers. After this, tease the crown of your hair with a comb, then pull up your hair in a medium height pony tail with a bump. Wrap a piece of hair around the pony tail holder, and secure with bobby pins. Finally, add hair spray to keep your do in tact. This is the perfect hair for a fun night out!

Day Look
Makeup:
This look is all about looking polished, yet professional. Start with a makeup primer to keep your makeup looking fresh throughout the day. Next, add a tinted moisturizer (Aveeno Tinted Moisturizer) and concealer (Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit). Set this with a loose powder (Maybelline Mineral Powder), and add some powder blush. Add a neutral eyeshadow and some mascara. This look will make you a knock out!
Hair:
For a long day, you can never go wrong with a pony tail. After drying your hair, curl your hair in loose sections and hairspray. Then pull up your hair into a medium height pony tail. Wrap a section around your ponytail holder to conceal it. You can either leave your bangs out, or pin them up in a braid or twist. This look is always professional and super cute!

We hope these tips help you to look your best this summer! Please share any combos or tips you have!
